The Salifert Ammonia NH4 Profi Test Kit is suitable for both marine and freshwater and sufficient for 50 tests, With the Salifert Profi Test NH4 you can determine the ammonia content in freshwater or seawater exactly and easily, Ammonia and ammonium are substances which should be converted rapidly into nitrite followed by nitrate and nitrogen gas, The Salifert Ammonia test is very straightforward and measures the sum of toxic ammonia and ammonium in just a few minutes, The Salifert Profi Test NH4 Ammonia can detect 0.5 ppm of total ammonia easily, Add 5 ml syringe and 2 ml of water in the test vial then fill the 1 ml syringe with 1.00ml NH3 reagent, Add 0.5 ml to the test vial and swirl gently for 30 seconds, add the remaining 0.5 ml and swirl gently for 10 seconds then allow to stand for 5 minutes, Swirl the test vial gently for 5 seconds, keep the color chart behind the test vial, ensure that a white piece of color chart is behind the liquid layer, The values on the color chart are in mg/L total ammonia (that is NH3 plus NH4+)
